Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains which cookies and similar technologies Rotten Marketing LLC uses on rottencloud.com and in the client dashboard, what each one does and how you can control them. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

1. What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store. It lets a site remember things between page loads — for example that you are signed in. Similar technologies include local storage and session storage, which work the same way for our purposes.

2. What we use

The public marketing site you are reading now sets no tracking cookies. It is a static site with no analytics tags, no advertising pixels and no third-party trackers. The only third-party technology on it is Cloudflare Turnstile, which protects the contact form from automated abuse.

Turnstile runs on the contact section only. It stores a short-lived value in your browser and sends your IP address and basic request signals to Cloudflare to tell a person from a bot. It does not fingerprint you for advertising, does not follow you across sites and the data is not used for any other purpose. It is a strictly necessary security measure, so it does not require consent, and it disappears once the form is submitted.

The client dashboard sets only strictly necessary cookies:

• Session cookie— first-party, keeps you signed in while you use the dashboard. Expires when you sign out or after 30 days of inactivity.
• CSRF token— first-party, protects forms against cross-site request forgery. Expires with the session.

Because these cookies are strictly necessary to deliver a service you have asked for, they do not require consent under the ePrivacy Directive or the GDPR.

3. What we do not use

• No Google Analytics or comparable third-party analytics.
• No advertising, remarketing or conversion pixels.
• No social media embeds that set cookies.
• No cross-site tracking of any kind.
• No consent banner, because there is nothing to consent to.

4. Cookies inside the platform

Once you sign in, the application sets a session cookie and stores your interface preferences — the language, the columns you pinned, the dashboard you land on. These are strictly necessary or functional and are not used to profile you. If you publish a customer portal from your account, the cookies it sets are covered by this policy, but the records it displays are yours and you remain their controller.

5. Controlling cookies

You can delete or block cookies from your browser settings at any time. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in to the dashboard, but it has no effect on your ability to read this website.

6. Changes

If we ever add a cookie beyond those listed above, we will update this page and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent first.
